'Ohiti Estate' Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Varietal:100% Sauvignon Blanc Region:Hawke's Bay Volume:750ml

Tasting Note:
The 2018 ‘Ohiti Estate’ Sauvignon Blanc has fresh gooseberry, passion fruit and a hint of lime. Made in a dry style, the mid palate has low acidity and good mouth feel, thus reflecting the ripeness and low yields when harvested. Due to the vibrant, fresh clean flavours, the 2018 ‘Ohiti Estate’ Sauvignon Blanc is an excellent accompaniment to vegetarian cuisine, varied seafood and also light poultry dishes. The Brookfields ‘Ohiti Estate’ Sauvignon Blanc is typically Hawke’s Bay in style with its ripe generous flavours and lingering finish.

'Fiesta' Rosé 2018

Varietal:Syrah Region:Hawke's Bay Volume:750ml

Tasting Note:
The 2018 ‘Fiesta’ Rosé is a celebration for the senses - bright floral notes, with wild strawberries, pink watermelon and a hint of spice. The palate is elegant, fresh and driven by bright red fruits, crafted in an off-dry style. It is excellent with antipasti dishes, summer afternoon bbq’s, sun-sets and good friends!

Cellaring:
Drinking well now and over the next 18-24 months.

Food Pairing:
Ideal pairing with prawns, sushi / sashimi, salmon and summer salads.
'Robertson' Pinot Gris 2018

Varietal:100% Pinot Gris Region:Hawke's Bay Volume:750ml

Tasting Note:
The 2018 ‘Robertson’ Pinot Gris is full of fresh aromatic notes and flavours. Showcasing pear, peach, spice, ginger are complimented with a hint of Manuka honey. While the 2018 ‘Robertson’ Pinot Gris is nearly dry (with 5 g/L residual sugar) and balanced soft acidity. The flavours are elevated and lingering on the finish - thus making this wine an excellent food wine - enjoy.

Cellaring:
Drinking now, and will age nicely for up to 5-6 years.

Food Pairing:
Ideal pairing with freshly cooked crayfish, stuffed crab and lightly seasoned seafood, vegetarian and Asian cuisine.
‘Late Harvest’ Viognier 2016

Varietal:100% Viognier Region:Hawke's Bay Volume:375ml

Tasting Note:
This wine has an inviting and fragrant aroma. This ‘Late Harvest’ Viognier has an extravaganza of flavours, namely honey, apricot, rock-melon and subtle mineral notes.
While the residual sweetness is at 150g/L, the natural acidity of the wine is seamless, hence there is no cloying sensation on the palate or finish. It is a perfect accompaniment to a wide variety of desserts.

'Bergman' Chardonnay 2017

Varietal:100% Chardonnay Region:Hawke's Bay Volume:750ml

Tasting Note:
The wine is rich in stone-fruits, peaches, melon and a subtle note of vanilla. The 2017 ‘Bergman’ Chardonnay also exhibits a touch from burnt match from the wild fermentation. Nearly a third of the oak barrels underwent malolactic fermentation giving depth to the mid-palate. The 2017 ‘Bergman’ Chardonnay is vibrant with a number of facets all contributing to this complex attractive wine - enjoy.

Cellaring:
Drinking now, and will age nicely for up to 4-5 years.

Food Pairing:
An ideal pairing with seared pork chops served with an apple sauce...
'Marshall Bank' Chardonnay 2015

Varietal:100% Chardonnay Region:Hawke's Bay Volume:750ml

Tasting Note:
The 'Marshall Bank' Chardonnay grapes were grown at Ohiti Estate. 'Marshall Bank' was an old family property in west Otago where Dr. Bill Robertson practiced for 45 years.
The 2015 ‘Marshall Bank’ Chardonnay exudes ripe peach, rock-melon, and toast, along with well integrated oak notes, which all carry through onto the full and engaging palate. The partial malolactic fermentation has broadened the mid palate and added to its complexity and elegance resulting in a long finish. Even in its youth it is very approachable, but development will evolve and reward with time. *(SOLD OUT)

Pair with slow roasted pheasant, and seasonal vegetables.
'Indulgence' Viognier 2017

Varietal:100% Viognier Region:Hawke's Bay Volume:375ml

Tasting Note:
Something special - as the 2017 ‘Indulgence’ has a mere 275g/L of natural residual sugar. Aromas that carry through onto the palate include - honeysuckle, apricots, peach and honeycomb are all evident and contribute to the wines richness and length. Due to the incredible residual sugar, the 2017 ‘Indulgence’ will continue to enrich in the bottle. While the 2017 ‘Indulgence’ is generously sweet, the acidity maintains a freshness and elevates the fruit profile.

'Burnfoot' Merlot 2015

Varietal:100% Merlot Region:Hawke's Bay Volume:750ml

Tasting Note:
Bold as brass, the 2015 ‘Burnfoot’ Merlot exhibits black fruits, leather, plums, wild herbs, generous oak and succulent tannins. The 2015 ‘Burnfoot’ Merlot reflects the ripeness of the grapes at harvest time - it was another good vintage for Merlot in the Tuki Tuki Valley. This 2015 ‘Burnfoot’ Merlot has a well-integrated and balanced palate, making it approachable and enjoyable now, and it will also age well.

Drinking now and will age well for 8 to 10 years.

Food Pairing:
An ideal pairing with slow cooked game meats, with plenty of herbs.
'Back Block' Syrah 2017

Varietal:100% Syrah Region:Hawke's Bay Volume:750ml

Tasting Note:
The ‘Back Block’ Syrah has proven to be an excellent food wine; hence it is served in restaurants in New Zealand, Australia and in the United Kingdom. The 2017 Back Block Syrah is a succulent harmonious red wine exhibiting sweet berry fruits, earthy tannins, dried spice, pepper and entwined oak. It is very approachable, but equally it will continue to develop nicely in the bottle. Another addition to the legacy.

'Ohiti Estate' Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Varietal:100% Cabernet Sauvignon Region:Hawke's Bay Volume:750ml

Tasting Note:
Harvested in excellent condition, the 2017 ‘Ohiti Estate’ Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits concentrated blackberries, hints of blackcurrants, dried herbs, toast, leather and dried spice. The French oak is well integrated thus creating palate complexity and weight to this generous wine. Its predecessor won ‘Gold’ at the Australian & NZ Boutique Wine Show 2018 - this vintage is in the same mold.

Cellaring:
Drinking now and will age for another 6-7 years.

Food Pairing:
A prime T-bone steak, cooked medium-rare, with a wine jus - what else?
'Sun-Dried' Malbec 2016

Varietal:100% Malbec Region:Hawke's Bay Volume:750ml

Tasting Note:
2016 was another ideal season to make a 'Sun-Dried' Malbec. 'Sun-Dried' wines have been made since the 5th century BC - 'Amarone' wines from northern Italy being the most famous.
Intensely dark, this ‘Sun-Dried’ Malbec shouts dried herbs, dark ripe plum, liquorice, violets and succulent oak. This wine has an enticing mouthfeel due to the weight and fullness on the mid palate. The 2016 vintage follows its illustrious predecessors with aplomb. Once again Malbec on steroids comes to mind. This wine is generous in all departments, the 2016 ‘Sun-Dried’ Malbec will compliment most red meats.

Cellaring:
Drinking now and will age for another 6-8 years.

Food Pairing:
Rack of lamb under a herb crust and slow cooked earthy vegetables, also enjoyed with chocolate dessert.
‘Highland’ Merlot / Cabernet 2015

Varietals:Merlot / Cabernet Region:Hawke's Bay Volume:750ml

Tasting Note:
The flavours in the 2015 ‘Platinum’ Merlot / Cabernet are orchestrated, with the Merlot from the Highland Vineyard leading from the front. Robust plum, blackcurrant, toast, vanillin, new oak and spice flavours make this a generous red wine. The palate is rich, full bodied and inviting, the 2015 Highland Merlot / Cabernet is only the sixth ‘Platinum’ label since 1989. *(Limited Release)

Approachable now and will develop for another 8-10 years.

Roast Beef basted with a Dijon mustard marinade.
'Hillside' Syrah 2016

Varietal:100% Syrah Region:Hawke's Bay Volume:750ml

Tasting Note:
An intense dark red colour with a magenta hue, the 2016 ‘Hillside’ Syrah is rich and generous. It exhibits ripe dark plums, pepper, toast and dried herbs underscored with new oak, giving the wine powerful mouthfeel. Though with perfect balance, this Syrah has an elegance and inviting personality. With decanting it is approachable now, the 2016 ‘Hillside’ Syrah will age gracefully for many years - it is a real delight for the senses. *(Limited Release)

'Reserve' Cabernet / Merlot 2016

Varietals:Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot. Region:Hawke's Bay Volume:750ml

Tasting Note:
Framed in new French oak, the 2016 ‘Reserve Vintage’ Cabernet / Merlot is bold and generous, the 2016 Vintage Reserve ‘Gold Label’ Cabernet / Merlot has dark characters with elevated blackberry, mocha, dried herbs and cigar box which rest on a bed of ripe and enticing tannins, along with new French oak notes resulting in a long lingering finish. The new Cabernet Sauvignon LC10 clone has introduced a concentration which will ensure its longevity…, be it majestic! *(Limited Release)
